On January 13, 2023, Singapore Immanuel Church held its Friday Prayer Meeting which brought great revitalization to its members to be awakened.
Pastor Drew preached the sermon on 1 Thessalonians 5:1-6, which was entitled, ‘Let Us Be Awake and Sober’. The sermon highlighted the importance of being awakened always with the fear of the Lord’s judgment, and therefore to seek God today to be changed spiritually and not delay. As the members of the early church always lived preparing for judgment with the expectation that Christ would return soon, Christians should live awakened as well to prepare for judgment.
In being spiritually awakened all the time, one would be able to always be prepared for their death and judgment, and to utilize everyday to the fullest seeking God’s Will and grace.
After the sermon, the members were led to pray with thanksgiving and repentance. Thereafter, Singapore members prayed with a deep focus for a great revival in Singapore.
May God continually lead the prayers of Singapore members to be piled up like six jars of water, and to witness the promise of God in turning all jars into wine, with overflowing abundance and joy.
