On 15 September 2019, Singapore Immanuel Church held Sunday service. There were a total of 7 attendees and 4 children, excluding ministers. Sister Foong Si Ting led worship and Pastor Drew Lee delivered the message.

Pastor Drew encouraged the members to fulfill the law of Chris by carrying each others’ burdens.  He shared, “We used to try to put our burdens on others’ shoulders. Now apostle Paul mentioned in the text we became spiritual by the sacrifice of Christ. We are now different being. So we should behave differntly. When we remember the mercy and forgiveness of God, we can’t really judge and condemn  others.”

He added, “Now we only have the duties to love and forgive others. We should be ones who can love others the way Jesus loved us. Not only carrying our burdens but also carrying others’ sins as our own. Let us be the one who can love others actively as Jesus gave his one and only life for us so that we can fulfill the law of Chris.”

After the service, the members had a graceful time of table fellowship and sharing. Si Ting shared that through today’s message, she learns to forgive her parents. She always blames her parents for some things that they do wrongly and feel that they did not set as a good example. But through today’s message, she saw that her parents do not know the truth and ultimately, they love her. So, she should be more forgiving and bear with them.

Esther shared that to carry one another’s burdens is very difficult. But when we look at Jesus, He had been always being bearing the sins of Man, humbling Himself to serve Man. In the same way, we need to learn from Jesus. We should treat sinners with gentleness and serve them humbly. At the same time, we need to pray for the sins and be patient.

Brother Kang Jidong shared that the message is just for his situation, he had argument with his father, through the message, he got the answer how to solve the problem.

End of the fellowship, Pastor Drew shared encourage each member to grow in God’s grace.
